Rocket Ship Pencil Sharpener
A 3D-printed rocket sharpener inspired by my grandfather’s brass Cape Canaveral sharpener, with a screw-off nose for disposal.
This project is a 3D-printed rocket-shaped pencil sharpener, inspired by a vintage brass sharpener my grandfather had from Cape Canaveral. I wanted to recreate that nostalgic space-age feel while making something both functional and fun. Designed from scratch, the sharpener has a screw-off nose cone that allows users to easily empty shavings, keeping it mess-free. The sturdy base ensures stability, and the overall design captures the look of a classic retro rocket. Fully modeled and printed by me, this project blends childhood memories with modern fabrication, making it feel like a piece straight out of a NASA gift shop.
