Step Stool Stool

This project is a multi-purpose plywood step stool designed to function as both a step stool and an extra seat, depending on how it is positioned; hence the name Step Stool Stool. I designed it specifically to fit in my kitchen, recognizing that my family naturally gathers there, often needing additional seating. The stool features a sturdy laminated plywood construction, with hidden dowel joinery for a clean aesthetic and a contrasting dark walnut stain on the steps. When flipped, it transforms into a comfortable stool, making it a practical and space-saving solution. This build allowed me to refine my woodworking, joinery, and finishing skills while creating something that fits seamlessly into my everyday life.
