Star Wars Movie Prop Blaster - DL-44
A 3D-printed, hand-painted DL-44 Blaster replica, made to practice painting and weathering for prop-making.
This project is a 3D-printed replica of the DL-44 Blaster from Star Wars, built as a hands-on way to develop painting and weathering skills. After printing and assembling the blaster, I focused on painting techniques like metallic layering, dry brushing, and airbrushing to achieve a realistic, battle-worn look. Weathering techniques such as washes, chipping effects, and edge highlighting helped add depth and authenticity, making the blaster look like it had seen years of use. This project was a valuable exercise in prop finishing and painting, allowing me to refine techniques that can be applied to future model-making and prop-building projects.
