Arduino Lean In Sensor
A 3D-printed, Arduino-based warning system that detects screen proximity and triggers an alert.
This project was designed to help prevent eye strain by alerting users when they are sitting too close to their computer screen. Using an Arduino Uno, an ultrasonic sensor detects when the user is within 40 cm of the screen. If the distance is too close for more than five seconds, a piezo buzzer sounds an alarm, the green LED turns off, and a red LED activates as a warning. The system is housed in a custom 3D-printed enclosure that keeps most of the wiring hidden while allowing easy access to power. This project was an exercise in environmental sensing, circuit design, and 3D fabrication to create a practical, everyday-use device.
